This year's focus.

Making a success of my role with Business Scene and helping it become more established in the UK and Internationally.

My commercial activity

I joined Warren Cass in January 2008 in the running of Business Scene and am responsible for its overall development. I am hugely excited about the many opportunities there are for this business and more seem to make themselves known every month.
Business Scene will be a multi-lingual business platform to reflect its International aspirations soon and thereby reduce the barrier to entry and engagement for its fast growing business community.
It isn't a rival to any Network as it actively promotes, publicises and supports event organisers of many different organisations; Ecademy being one of them and currently feature over 5,000 Networking event details nationally.
Warren and I both have a strong bond and relationship with Ecademy and are Blackstars to demonstrate that level of involvement.

Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank, The Telegraph On-line and Microsoft, all identify with the direction we are taking this business and we are proud to have these global brands as sponsors and whom we greatly enjoy working with. Other non competitive brands are coming on board also and news as it happens will be released.
We are also proud to be associated on a National partnership basis with Regus UK where many of our regional events are hosted
I am currently seeking Regional leaders to run quarterly events and typically we attract over 100 attendees, a few of whom are often Ecademists so you are amongst friends straight away but such events give you and them many new business connections that you will not have met before.

Given my love of communities, this extends also to those much less fortunate than ourselves. Many millions of children in Africa have next to nothing to look forward to but Ecademist Kevin Allen has found a way in which to feeds thousands of these deserving children every day. This is something very close to my heart and I urge you to read this book. It will bring tears to your eyes and Kevin is one of the most inspirational and humble Ecademist you will ever meet. A truly remarkable story of his journey to date and a truly remarkable man and it is a wonderful read!

A little about my home life

Working primarily from my home office, it allows me to see plenty of the children, which always has a wonderful grounding effect the moment I enter the front door from work or a hectic day. I melt when they are close to me. I hold the belief that it is not until you have your own children do you ever really understand the depth and extent of love that your parents held for you. Whilst you might never have doubted it, the extent and unquestionable and unconditional love I find very profound.


My family below are my raison d'etre.
Throughout my life, I have always had a love of women but never dreamt I'd be living with five!! They are to me a constant source of wonderment and I cherish and love them all and through them, I have found the value in being a daddy and a husband which motivates me to do my best.
They are all different but wonderful in their own special way - they are my life.

These are an extension of my passion for Networking. I am keen to help others within our community to gain the benefits of such an enterprising environment. I am enthusiastic also to visit companies or organisations who wish to evaluate the merits of such an important exercise and mentor those interested to help ensure they gain the commercial value proportionate to their commitment to this activity.
For individuals however, I have set up course material to support those seeking to get to grips with the web site from London and Surrey bases I have at my disposal on an as and when basis. The content has been developed over the past five years having trained well over 2,500 members. I can also provide such workshops nationally and on-line too.

Some of the topics covered are how to find those contacts you seek, how to integrate your Ecademy activities with those of your busy professional day jobs, understanding the significance of what you put in your profile and those mystical 50 words, how to make your reputation and how to develop your Network to good effect and the use of MarketPlace from which to run part of your sales and marketing activities from.
I run Business Network Training courses here; please have a look at this and enrol if you need guidance whether you have been an established member for some time or are very new to this environment; all abilities are catered for as well as one to ones on how to write your profile and how to find business.
I am currently developing an on-line course so I can reach all our members globally.

Sport.

Throughout most of my life, I have been into sport in a big way. Throughout my school days I played and competed at many sports. On leaving school I played Rugby for Esher, competing in Triathlon that led to Managing the Great Britain Triathlon Team. They became European and later World Champions. I competed in many National Kick Boxing Tournaments, teaching children and adults Martial Arts, did a lot of Stock Car Racing, Gym and Fitness instructing. These have given me a rounded appreciation of sport and for those who have achieved their own sporting goals at whatever standard. I understand the level of commitment and dedication required and now looking to coach one of our younger daughters who I am convinced will be a formidable runner, swimmer and Biathlete. Our youngest too looks like following in her footsteps so Dad is going to have to keep in shape for a few more years!!.

My other business services.

I'm available to assist your business by using my 42 years of commercial experience to assist other organisations in their commercial objectives whether providing practical assistance and guidance on ideas of progressing their services and products and how to take this to market, recruitment and sales training and management. I offer these on an agreed number of days per month to provide flexibility and financial affordability
