According to an article at Mediapost.com, updated stats from Comscore show that in the US a quite small percentage of users click on ads!

In other words, if I'm reading this correctly, most people NEVER click on ads. Or am I wrong?

For some time now, I've been convinced that 98% of Facebook users are deceased and have been propped up at their keyboard in the El Cid style.

This might account as to why only 5% of affiliates make most of the sales - as they are the percentage of affiliates that manage to catch the 5% of the 8% of clickers

The 3% of clickers that evade the affiliates might in theory be the window of opportunity 97% of people in network businesses are not getting, as I've also heard it said that only 3% of people in the world are successful at the network marketing business - the rest (97%) fail - So 5% goes to on-line brands - 3% to on-line businesses that claim to make you a super affiliate / networker. Alan Sugar probably knows what I am talking about smile

Just had another thought if 5% of sells are made by 5% of affiliates (super Affiliates) I wonder how many of those 5% are using legit methods ?

Think about it - the Internet is full of spam - webmail and e-mail providers clear out the p*rn and most of the drugs e-mails like viagra these days - so what is left as spam ? - e-mail from affiliates that are posting on behalf of companies - if only 5% of affiliate generate most of the sales - then you'd have thought it would be pretty easy to track, via cookies, who is sending out 1000's of e-mails - or do you think that maybe if sending out spam is in fact the only way for big companies to generate big sales ? These big companies maybe are just too big to be social, and profit will always come before people - just like it always has - like the baby milk scandals of the 1970's ?

waaasssuuppp with the facebookers Jeff ? smile

Most people are there to escape from the world of work and bills for a bit of entertainment and larking around and that's it, an alternative to the TV, you are lucky really if anyone listens - marketing people can only get through to facebookers wallets by scamming facebook users the old 1.0 way, which is kind of sad too, seeing as businesses are all meant to be friends and open with their customers these days..
