Dear Loving Ones,

If you are into breathing meditation, yoga practices or simply curious about breath meditation techniques, have a look at this library of manuals on Kriya Yoga and Kabir.

"Stilling the breath and thereby stilling the mind".

Got to start somewhere!

Thank you Dr. Mehmet,

for your words of practical wisdom.

I'm afraid the benefits are beyond what you have mentioned.

Mindfulness of the in/out going breath specifically the "Touching point" on the surface around the nostrils, or the triangle portion (in the middle) above the upper lip or on the tip of the nose.... is the number 1 tool for enlightenment.

Many have chosen, practiced and had reaped the rewards through this method. The technique is so simple because you learn from what is always there…right in front of your nose.

...........................................Breath....................... which is always just IS.

And if you trace the source of the breath, it will lead you (from mental you) to the truer…..

................"You"...............the source of all things…

Not the "I" that is normally associated with, but the formless, inexpressible presence/essence of what I call "That".

The continuous practice will lead to "Vipassana" - that is "to see things as they really are"; a logical process of mental purification through self-observation.

"Self-transformation through Self-observation".

And it will cut through the attachment to cravings….especially of feelings!

But constant practice (moment by moment) or deep penetrative practice (full at it - when there is committed time on a daily basis) is paramount, if the intention is reaching the ultimate.

P.S. I strongly urge you to take it up. "The Practice" that is.

Thank you Melinda,

Yes...and the Buddhas... and other great teachers.

Paramahansa Yogananda was a great master and true yogi.

I'd first bumped into him....through...Kriya Yoga....about 10 years ago...
and his Great Teacher, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri...
