(APOLOGIES: I thought the video embedded. It does NOW!)

Here is a short movie of my Saturday painting classes in London run my Nick Malone.

The classes are held in an old propellor factory - now converted to art studios. The day is very relaxed - coffees, a few red wines, salmon, grapes, cheese and bread - you get the idea ... and painting.

Nick just encourages you to start painting with acrylics. Paint anything. I took in some clippings from the Sunday paper of an old man - but Nick gave me a short amount of theory and then I sat and scanned several books on the Impressionists.

The paintings in this slide show were done over a full day and with the tiniest amount of theory.

I love painting because I am a beginner. I'm right out of my comfort zone. Its 180 degrees from what I do in my professional life. And its a challenge and very satisfying. Plus its for myself.

I don't intend to become an artist ... or exhibit ... or change professions ... I just love a day in a working studio with a fabulous teacher and art classes once a month.

If you want details of where and when please email me but if you are clever there is enough info here to Google Nick.
